RHS Advice Ways to minimise stress to potted trees

We hope this article will offer some helpful tips and will help you to relieve a  little stress to your plants so that they continue being productive. If you have any further questions regarding potted trees, then please contact us on 01782 396 168.

Bring trees indoors as late as rm, for a maximum of 12 days.
Put on view in a cool room, well away from heated areas, and keep the compost moist but not saturated.
Plant the tree out in the garden at the end of winter or grow outdoors in a container for next year. Keeping it potted helps to restrict the size.
If the weather is cold, ‘harden off’ the tree in a glasshouse or shed before replacing or planting outside again.
Keep tree moist by giving the tree liquid feed monthly to help growth.
