Sleeper bed walls are a great asset to any garden. They are also a cheaper alternative to brick walls and can look more natural. If you would like to add a sleeper bed to your garden, follow our tutorial below.
How to Construct a Sleeper Bed
Start by marking out the area that you wish to create your bed. The bottom row of sleepers should be concreted into place to ensure they are secure. We then recommend that you lay the sleepers in a brick pattern to give the wall extra strength. Attach the sleepers with screws to ensure the wall is really sturdy.
Behind the sleeper wall, you should concrete into place wooden posts at 1.2 metre intervals. Once the posts are in place, you need to screw the sleepers onto the posts from behind. These beds can then be filled with soil and planted up to give colour and interest to your garden.
